As part of your benefits with Denton ISD, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers help for you and your family for everyday issus like job pressures, personal concerns, relationships, planning for life events, legal and financial direction or managing daily life.
These programs are confidential and do not require an employee or family member to go through Insurance/Risk Management, Human Resourses, or any other District department for access to the benefits offered by your EAP.

CompPsych Guidance Resources Program
This program is confidential and provided at no charge to you and your dependents.The services are available for insurance eligible employees, their spouse and dependents, including children to age 26. Substitute and temporary employees and their spouse and dependents are not eligible to use EAP benefits, unless you have a family member that is an insurance eligible employee with DISD.The GuidanceResources program provides confidential support, resources and information for personal and work-life issues.You can access Confidential Counseling at no cost for up to 6 face-to-face sessions per issue per year.Free Online Will Preparation and GuidanceReources Online are also available.

Ability Assist Program
This program is only available to employees enrolled in a Disability plan with DISD provided by The Hartford. This service also includes access to the ComPsych HealthChampion serivce at no cost and up to 3 fact-to-face sessions per issue per year, Financial Information and Resources, and Legal Support and Resources.

CompPsych Guidance Resources Program and Ability Assist Program are two differenct programs and any benefits provided to eligible persons will be seperate. There is no paperwork involved, but keep in mind this isn't health insurance so "coordination of benefits" is not applicable under these programs and any medical plan.
