What to Do if Students feel ill during the school day
If a student becomes ill during the school day, he or she must see the school nurse.
If it is determined that the student needs to leave campus due to illness or injury, the parent/guardian will be called from the nurse's office. Students are not permitted to call from a classroom or their cell phones.
This policy is for the individual student's health and safety! It also helps the nurse track any unusual illnesses or excessive occurrences of a disease. This is important for the protection of the entire school population.
If your student is ill, the nurse will call you and request that you pick your student up.
Since students rest and recover more quickly at home, we request that you pick them up in a timely manner.
The parent or guardian must come into the attendance office to sign the student out.
The person picking up the student must be listed as a guardian or emergency contact on the health card.
Once a student returns to school, they must report to the attendance office.
