Communicative activities include the daily work and general activities that take place during class. Participation is also part of classification and is a crucial factor in the student’s success in class. Students are expected to constantly participate in class and practice their Spanish.
Students are expected to practice their Spanish vocabulary every day at home. Other homework may be from the workbook, handouts or an assignment that was not completed in class.
When a student is absent it is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements with me to complete the work. Students have the number of days absent plus one day to complete all the work.
I strongly recommend that students come in for tutoring if they need help with any aspect of the material we cover. Also, feel free to check my website at for PowerPoint presentations and links to games that will help you memorize your vocabulary. You can also find grammar activities that will help you review what was covered in class.
Please feel free to come and talk to me about your concerns, grades, or any help that you might need throughout the year. I am here to help you and I am willing to go the extra mile if you are willing to do the same.
*Please be aware that students are not allowed to use their cellphones in my classroom.
***Spanish is an important subject, especially living in Texas. We will do a lot of speaking to practice the new language we are learning and your participation in class is necessary for success. The more you speak and practice, the better you will become in Spanish. Watching T.V. and listening to the radio in Spanish is recommended. ***
