Ryan Raider Robotics - Team 739
Congratulations on competing in the World Championships for FIRST Robotics in Atlanta, GA!

Ryan Raider Robotics (Team 739) competed in the World Championships for FIRST Robotics in Atlanta, GA Wednesday (4/15) through Saturday (4/18). More than 10,000 students and 533 Robots from 28 countries competed in three levels of challenges at the Georgia Dome. This was the team’s first time to earn an invitation to the World Championships. They qualified  by winning a regional Championship tournament in January. To reach the World Championships they were in the top 10% of teams worldwide. The competition was very tough and the team won 3 out of their 6 qualification matches. Before losing the final two matches because of problems with our partner’s robot, the students were ranked 14th out of the 50 teams in our division and were doing quite well. Although the students would have liked to finish higher in the standings, they were very impressed with the quality of competition and learned a lot from the more experienced teams and they are all the more eager to improve for next year.
