for all work days from the 1st to 31st of the month on
the 20th of the following month. If the 20th falls on a

assignments qualify for the long-term substitute pay increase?

teachers in long-term assignments for a classroom teacher qualify for the long
term pay increase if the assignment lasts more than 10 consecutive days.
Long-term Aide positions do not qualify for the long-term pay increase.

Substitute
teachers are eligible and encouraged to work every school day in Denton ISD.
Substitute teachers should work a minimum of five days per month.

daily pay for Special Education assignments?
Some Special

assignments, for example, both qualify for a daily pay increase. Please contact

the same daily rate for working a daily assignment as a teacher or an aide.

All VIPs must
attend a returning orientation before substitute teaching each new school year,

VIPs are allowed to bring their personal devices (smart phone,

are under your care, you should be actively engaged with teaching and
monitoring the class at all times.

certified teachers to access training to keep their certificate up to date.

Stedi.org is a
great source for substitute teacher training. They offer an affordable online
