• Dear Cross Oaks parents,

A copy of our school report card and our campus academic performance report, published annually by the Texas Education Agency, can be found accompanying this letter. These reports are also available on our school webpage. The reports provide information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), as well as information on student enrollment, attendance rates, class size averages, and financial information.

2016 SCHOOL ACCOUNTABILITY RATING: In 2016, Cross Oaks Elementary earned a Met Standard rating from the state of Texas for excellence in academic achievement. This rating was earned because of the hard work of our teachers and students and is based on four performance measures that are identified in the 2016 Performance Index section on the school report card.

2016 PERFORMANCE INDEX: Our campus exceeded the target score established in all four of the performance indexes. In addition to our high performance in these areas, this year we are especially proud of the four distinctions earned by our campus:
    ·          Academic Achievement in Language Arts
    ·        Top 25% in Student Progress
    ·        Top 25% in Closing Performance Gaps
    ·        Academic Achievement in Mathematics

STAAR SCORES: The second page of the report provides our students’ STAAR scores for the 2015-16 school year. Our scores continue to compare favorably with state averages most notably in the following areas:
