Mrs. McCullough

It is an honor to be a part of the Braswell family!

I am excited to continue my 16th year as an educator, and I am dedicated to continually learning the best ways to serve our faculty, staff, students, parents, and community members. At Braswell, we are fully committed to developing the whole learner, collaborating to improve learning, embracing transparent communication, growing together, and celebrating common successes.

I began my career in Denton ISD as an EXPO specialist and as an accelerated reading teacher at Crownover Middle School.  Previously, I served as a gifted and talented teacher, English Language Arts department head, and cheer coach in Lewisville ISD.  As a first generation college graduate, I attended The University of North Texas, earning my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies.  I recently earned my Master of Education in Educational Administration from Texas A&M in Commerce.

Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to travel with students to Washington D.C. and New York to explore the capital and experience a living lab of our country’s past.  Seeing students learn and develop into lifelong learners is priceless.

I have been married to my husband, Ryan for 14 years.  We met at The University of North Texas and decided to make Denton our home.  We have a son, Garrett, who is a second grader in Denton ISD, and we also have a basset hound, Shelby, who keeps us on  our toes, leaving a trail of fur and slobber everywhere she goes.

I look forward to working with the Bengal community this year.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!

Sincerely,

Dawn McCullough, M.Ed.
