Background:   I worked for the Denton Police Department for 31 years prior to my retirement in 2011.  During my time at the police department I was assigned to the Patrol Division, the Criminal Investigation Division, the Crime Scene Unit, the Tactical Team, and the Office of Professional Standards.  Following my retirement I choose to become a teacher for the Denton Independent School District where I currently teach the Court System and Practices class, the Pre-Law Internship class and the Criminal Investigation class at the ATC.  While employeed with the Denton Police Department I was involved in several high profile investigations, such as Henry Lee Lucus (Nation wide serial killer), Matthew Thomas Clark (Serial Rapist, Denton), Diana Goldston (Aka. Flower Girl, Kidnapped and Murdered, Denton), and Kelly Cox (Kidnapping and Murder, Denton).  I have experience in Handwiting Analysis, Fingerprint Identification, Blood Spatter Analysis, and Crime Scene Investigation.
I look forward to passing along the experience I have to my students so hopefully they will have the information needed if they choose to go into Law Enforcement or beome a Lawyer.
