Ms. Amy Romero

This is my third year at Denton High School and my seventeenth year as a public school educator/ nineteenth as an educator. Before transitioning to DHS, I worked as an elementary teacher-librarian for 8 years and before becoming a teacher-librarian, I was an English as a Second Language, Bilingual, or English as a Foreign Language teacher for 8 years.

I'm thrilled to teach research, technology, and literacy skills as well as share my love of reading with DHS students.

Some of my favorite quotes:

“If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book.” – J.K. Rowling

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies... The man who never reads lives only one.”
― George R.R. Martin

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” – C.S. Lewis

❝Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.❞
‒Chinese Proverb

❝If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.❞
‒Nelson Mandela

“A different language is a different vision of life.” Federico Fellini

“Dreams don't have timelines, deadlines, and aren't always in straight lines.”
