    Adkins Elementary is located in southern Lantana and serves Denton ISD's southernmost families, including those in Lantana, Bartonville and Double Oak. Adkins students are currently zoned to attend Harpool Middle School and Guyer High School.     School hours: 7:40am - 3:00pm. All students should be in their seat and ready to learn by 7:40am. 

    Transportation Guidelines: For the first two day of school, parents may walk their students into school.

    Please access maps above for specific information regarding arrival and dismissal. For dismissal, older siblings meet up with younger siblings. 

    Keys to a Successful Drop-off and Pick-up. Students eating breakfast need to be at school by 7:20am and enter through the cafeteria entrance.

    • Our Parking Lot will not be available for parents to park for arrival or dismissal. The walking option is only for those who live in the adjacent neighborhoods. Parents drop-off and pick-up walkers at the crosswalk.
    • If your child has an afternoon appointment, they must be picked up before 2:15pm.
    • Picking up your child during the day? Please make sure you have your driver's license with you.
    • If you are changing how your child goes home, the teacher and the front office need to be notified before NOON.
