Board Meetings

The Denton ISD Board of Trustees meets regularly in the Board Room of the Dennis Stephens Central Administration Building, 1307 North Locust St., Denton. All meetings are open to the public and are subject to provisions of Texas law. All special meetings and workshops take place at the DENTON ISD Administrative Center unless noted on the schedule below.

Official notices of these meetings will be posted at the Dennis Stephens Central Administration Building at least 72 hours prior to each meeting.

Denton ISD welcomes comments and input from the communities and families we serve. There are many ways to resolve issues and share feedback other than participation at a board meeting. We encourage you to review our communication flow for where to start to resolve issues, and our communication commitments for how to best serve our students and staff.

Guidelines for Speaking at a Board Meeting

Work Sessions, Workshops, and Special Meetings

For Work Sessions, Workshops, and Special Meetings, there will also be one Open Forum for public comment. Speakers must register online in advance, and comments are limited to items on that specific meeting agenda.

No presentation shall exceed three minutes and may be adjusted by the presiding officer.

Registration will open at the time the meeting agenda is posted, typically 72 hours prior to the start of the meeting, and will close at 1:00 p.m. the day of the meeting unless otherwise noted.

Public Comment Portal

The Public Comment Portal provides community members a way to share written input with the Board outside of a scheduled board meeting. These comments are reviewed by the Board and district leadership as part of the Board’s commitment to listen to community voices.

All citizens have the ability to provide public comment to the Denton ISD Board of Trustees below:
