Denton ISD is growing!

While some public school districts across the state are experiencing significant enrollment decline, that is not the case in Denton ISD. New students continue to enroll in Denton ISD each year. Demographic projections indicate Denton ISD will enroll more than 5,000 students by 2034-2035, bringing the total enrollment to 38,482.

Managing the Growth

Despite having a strong facility plan in place, demographic projections indicate Denton ISD could have seven campuses over capacity by the end of 2026.

Growth management is a community-driven challenge. To keep up with expansion, district leaders must explore funding options and strategic solutions to maintain balanced class sizes and provide students with the space and support they need to succeed.
