IB Transfer Information

When applying for an IB transfer at the high school level, please remember:

• Denton High School is open for IB transfers and has specific requirements for course selection that both the parent/legal guardian and the student must agree to before the transfer will be approved.
• 9th/10th grade students MUST take a minimum of 2 Honors or AP classes as an IB transfer student to prepare for the IB Diploma
• 11th/12th grade students MUST take a minimum of 2 IB Diploma courses to attend DHS on an IB transfer.  Full Diploma candidates are preferred.
• To review and agree to the requirements, parents must complete the DHS IB transfer form during the open transfer window. 

DHS will offer IB informational meetings and building tours during the open transfer window.  Please refer to the DHS IB page for information.  

Families MUST complete a Denton ISD Student Transfer Application in addition to the above IB requirements.
