Instructional Materials

Denton ISD provides students with access to a wide range of high-quality instructional materials, including print and digital texts. Our goal is to support engaging, rigorous learning experiences and help students access resources that meet their learning needs.“Instructional Materials” includes any instructional resource used by teachers for instruction and lesson planning, such as unit plans, rubrics, and any instructional resources used by students, including books, supplementary materials, software, videos, and online tools. [TEC §31.002(1‑a)] 
 
Districts annually report to TEA all instructional materials used in all courses and grade levels. All foundational and supplemental instructional materials in Denton ISD are either TEA/SBOE-approved or are reviewed and approved by a district team and included in our annual instructional materials report.
