Denton ISD student-athletes can obtain inexpensive athletic physicals for the 2016-17 school year beginning 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the LaGrone Advanced Technology Complex, located at 1504 Long Road in Denton.
The district athletic department is overseeing the physicals, which will cost just $10 per athlete and can be paid by cash or a check made out to Denton ISD Athletics. Copies of athletic physicals will also be made available; a student who would like a copy of his or her physical must submit a self-addressed legal-sized envelope and a $1 payment at the checkout table.
Athletic physicals are required for all seventh-, ninth- and 11th-grade students as well as any student-athlete new to Denton ISD who is planning to compete in a sport during the upcoming school year. Students receiving physicals at the event are asked to wear shorts, T-shirts and flip flops or slide sandals; they should enter the ATC at its north end near the Cosmetology Department.
An information packet must be completed prior to a physical being performed, with physicals performed on a first-come, first-served basis. To download the required packet, click here. Physical packets must be filled out before entering the building.
For more information on requirements for athletic physicals, please contact the athletic department 940-369-0073.
