High school graduations taking place first week of June

Denton Independent School District’s three comprehensive high schools – Denton, Guyer and Ryan – will hold graduation ceremonies on Friday, June 3, while the district’s alternative education high school, Fred Moore, will hold its graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 1.

Guyer High School will kick off the June 3 graduation ceremonies at 11 a.m., followed by Ryan at 2:30 p.m. and Denton at 6 p.m. All ceremonies will take place at the University of North Texas Coliseum, located at 600 Ave. D in Denton. Parking will be available across the street, in front of Fouts Field.

Attendees are recommended to leave early as a result of road construction near the graduation venue, as the North Texas Boulevard Bridge was recently demolished for reconstruction. For the best routes to enter the designated parking lot for graduations – lot 20, by Fouts Field – view this map. For information on alternate routes near the UNT Coliseum, click here.

UNT will also host Fred Moore’s graduation earlier in the week, though it will take place at a different venue. Fred Moore students will graduate at 7 p.m. June 1 at UNT’s Gateway Center, located at 801 N. Texas Blvd. in Denton.

For information about a graduation ceremony, please contact the appropriate school’s front office. Denton can be reached by phone at 940-369-2000, Fred Moore can be reached at 940-369-4000, Guyer can be reached at 940-369-1000 and Ryan can be reached at 940-369-4960.
