Transportation Dept. distributing bus access cards for registered students

Denton ISD’s transportation department will be distributing bus access cards to students that registered for transportation services during enrollment for the 2016-17 school year this week, beginning Monday, Aug. 29.

Any student that did not register for bus service during the enrollment process will not receive a bus access card at this time. Families can still register at this time by contacting the transportation department directly.
Bus service for students without bus access cards will continue to be provided through Friday, Sept. 1, so families are strongly encouraged to register with the transportation department to receive their access card. Cost is $5 per access card, per student. Returning bus riders with cards that are kept in good, working condition are allowed to reuse their card each school year.
Please note that it typically takes between 24 to 48-hours to process a bus service request, so those needing immediate assistance are strongly encouraged to complete their registration in person at the district’s transportation central office, located at 5093 E. McKinney St. in Denton (next to Ryan High School), or at its east office, located at 1701 Navo Rd. in Aubrey (behind Navo Middle School.)
The district provides transportation on more than 125 bus routes to students that live more than two miles from their home campus or have a route that is deemed “hazardous” to walk throughout its more than 180-mile square radius.
All students that need bus transportation to and from school must register each year, with registration this school year occurring through Infosnap, the district’s online student registration system. To determine if your student(s) qualifies for bus service please use our School Finder tool found here:
