District students recognized veterans in a variety of activities
The high school activities include:
AFJROTC will begin with a formal flag raising ceremony at 8:15 a.m. followed by breakfast at 8:30 a.m. in Room 106 for all veterans and guests.
A formal program
hosted by the National Honor Society starts at 9 a.m. Students in orchestra,
band, jazz band, choir, theater and drill team will all be part of the program.
Ret. Col. Robert Hastings, Chief of Staff at Bell Helicopter, will serve as the
guest keynote speaker.
AFJROTC will begin with a meet-and-greet breakfast at 7:40 a.m. for veterans and guests in the cafeteria. A formal flag raising ceremony and 20-minute program will follow at 8:30 a.m. with present veterans lined up at the flag pole recognized by students and staff for their service.

social for veterans and guests with continental breakfast beginning at 8:15
a.m. in Room 216. A flag raising ceremony on the front drive of the campus. The
ceremony will include a speaker from the local VFW.

Students will participate in a flag ceremony with the University of North Texas ROTC program at 9 a.m. A program recognizing and honoring veterans featuring Ret.
