Districtwide Pre-K registration now open by appointment at select campuses

Districtwide registration for Denton ISD pre-kindergarten programs for the 2017-18 school year begins April 1 by setting an appointment at the appropriate school offering the program that best fits the needs of your child.

Phase 1 will start the two-step registration process and will consist of campuses verifying the appropriate documents to confirm qualification, if attempting to qualify for free state-funded, half-day pre-kindergarten.

Phase 2 will consist of completing enrollment via infosnap, the district’s online registration system, once it opens up for the new school year in late July. Reminder notification will come from the campus where Phase 1 was completed, with returning Pre-K families using their snapcodes to complete registration.

Families will be able to register their children for Pre-K programs at the Gonzalez and Windle schools for young children as well as Borman, Cross Oaks, Lee, Newton Rayzor, Paloma Creek, Rivera, W.S. Ryan and Stephens elementary schools. Pre-K Academy options, which allow families to pay for Pre-K services, are only available at Cross Oaks, and Paloma Creek elementary schools and Gonzalez.

To register a child, a parent or legal guardian must bring proper identification and proof of residency (a utility bill or lease agreement) as well as the child’s birth certificate, updated immunization records and social security card. These documents are required to complete the registration process.

Please remember enrollment will not be complete until infosnap verification forms are turned into the campus prior to the first day of school.

Denton ISD offers a variety of state-funded Pre-K programs to help young children prepare for success in school. To be eligible for Pre-K, a child must be 3 or 4 years old on or before Sept. 1. Families interested in enrolling their children in one of these free half-day programs may qualify if they meet at least one of the following criteria:
  • Are limited English speaking
  • Qualify for free or reduced lunch
  • Are active military dependents
  • Have been with the Department of Family and Protective Services
  • Are homeless
