Background:   I have been teaching since 2003, I was previously in public relations and did the graphic design and communication pieces. I also teach at the community college level. I coauthored a book creating companion video instruction. I am passionate about teaching graphic design AND passionate about teaching students!

I also do freelance graphic work on the side when not teaching, as well as writing curriculum and video instruction. I recently coauthored an instructional book for Illustrator.

Not surprising I am a family oriented person. I have been married since 2006 to John Wilson. He has an interesting job - partner owner of a PICKLE factory! Keeps our life interesting. I have three adult children who have made me a very proud mom - Steven is a fireman, John Wesley is a farmer rancher and Lanese is in Martketing for a carwash. They are all married and I have four grandsons. John brought three great children to the family as well. Aaron is in New York working in Computer Technology, Mindy a music teacher in Houston and our youngest is in college at A&M  studying to become a real rocket scientist!

Travel is probably my main hobby. I lived in Germany for two years a couple of decades ago and was able to travel extensively while there I love going back to Europe any chance I get - and especially with my husband John as a lot of it is new to him.
