Gary Brown is in his 14th year of coaching as he serves Braswell High School as Head Cross Country and Head Girls Track coach. He was previously at Saginaw High School as the head cross country/assistant track, as well as assistant offensive line coach.During his time at Saginaw the girls teams qualified for the regional cross country meet three out of four years, while also having numerous girls qualify individually.In track his girls were 2016 district champs in the 3200, 1600, and 800 meter runs as well as team district champs. On the boys side he was lucky enough to coach the district cross country champion Tristen Leyva in 2013 and 2014.
Coach Brown will be teaching AP US History and Sociology this year along with being National Honor Society sponsor.
Coach Brown grew up in Argyle,Texas and attended Northwest High School where he ran cross country and played basketball. He graduated from the University of North Texas in 2001 and is married to Anita, who is a fourth grade science teacher at Willow Creek Elementary in EMS-ISD.
