• Attendance Contracts and the Truancy Prevention Class

Attendance Contracts and the Truancy Prevention Class are the combined second truancy prevention step outlined by HB 2398. This prevention measure is implemented when the student has accumulated six unexcused/unverified or LOSIT absences within a six-month period. At this stage, students are conferenced with about their attendance, placed on an Attendance Contract, and both student and parent are assigned to a Truancy Prevention Class. Parents/guardians will receive a copy of the Student Attendance Contract and the assigned Truancy Prevention Class notification in the mail.

It is important to identify why your student is accumulating unexcused/unverified or LOSIT absences. If your child is experiencing any other the following listed below, please reach out to the appropriate professional so that we can help.
