Denton ISD Students Shine at Special Olympics and Topgolf’s Unified Fore Joy ProAm Fundraiser
Denton ISD proudly celebrated the success of its students at the 2025 Unified Fore Joy ProAm, an annual national fundraiser hosted by Special Olympics and Topgolf that brings athletes and partners together for a day of spirited competition, teamwork, and support for Special Olympics programming. This year, Denton ISD was represented by 17 student-athletes and 14 partners.
The atmosphere at the event was electric, with teams from across the region competing side by side, cheering each other on, and filling the Topgolf bays with excitement. Students from Guyer High School rose to the top, placing first in their competition bay. Their winning team featured athlete Logan Reynolds, athlete Christian Sanchez, and partner Colton Au, whose skill, energy, and teamwork made for an unforgettable performance.
“Events like the Unified Fore Joy ProAm bring people together to celebrate each student’s abilities and achievements,” said Krystal Johnson, Denton ISD Adapted Physical Education Specialist. “The energy was contagious. Seeing our students and partners share in the fun, compete with enthusiasm, and support one another showed the best of what school spirit and community can be.”
The Unified Fore Joy ProAm is recognized as the largest golf-based fundraiser of its kind, with six-member teams competing at 30 Topgolf venues nationwide. The event served as a celebration, including music, cheering, and the thrill of friendly competition which made the day one that students and families will remember for years to come.
Denton ISD is honored to stand with Special Olympics and Topgolf in championing student opportunities through sports, camaraderie, and shared success.
