Fred Moore Student Wins 2nd Place at Regional Speech Contest

Desiree Williams took home the 2nd place prize at the Weatherford Regional Four-Way Test Speech Contest on April 13, 2019. High-school students representing 13 area Rotary Clubs competed at the regional event after winning their local club competitions held in March. Desiree was awarded $450 for her speech.

The Four-Way Speech Contest is organized and run by local Rotary clubs. Rotary is an international community service organization, and the Four-Way Test consists of questions Rotarians use to guide their personal and professional interactions:

  • Is it the truth?
  • Is it fair to all concerned?
  • Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  • Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
