Top graduating seniors honored along with their educators of influence at district event
Denton Independent School District honored its top graduates and the teachers who influenced them at a special ceremony at the LaGrone Advanced Technology Complex on Thursday, May 2, 2019. The following Fred Moore seniors were honored along with their educator of influence:
Eloise Bourns with math teacher Julie Phillips
Keely Graves with English teacher Ashly Sharp
Desiree Williams with instructional aide and attendance liaison Kelly Fiore-Watson
The ceremony, organized and hosted by the Denton Public School Foundation, featured graduating seniors from each of the district’s five comprehensive high schools – Braswell, Denton, Fred Moore, Guyer and Ryan. Students were selected for their achievements in academics and extracurricular activities throughout their high-school careers.
Each student also chose an educator to recognize for his or her impact on their lives. A letter written by each student to his or her educator of influence was read during the event.
