Attendance & Absences


We would like to remind you of the importance of attendance. Students are expected to attend school regularly and be on time. Instruction begins promptly at 7:40 a.m. Students are expected to be in the classroom at 7:40 a.m. ready to learn. Students arriving after 7:40 a.m. will be marked tardy.
If a student is absent, a written note must be submitted directly to the office within 72 hours of the student’s return to school. Parents may also email the note to Please do not give notes to the teacher; they must come directly to the office. Texas Student Attendance Laws will determine if the absence is excused, verified, unexcused, or unverified.

Parents of students with excessive unverified absences and/or missed "parts of days" are in violation of the Texas Compulsory Attendance Law.
