Attendance & Absences
Families,
We would like to remind you of the importance of attendance. Students are expected to attend school regularly and be on time. Instruction begins promptly at 7:40 a.m. Students are expected to be in the classroom at 7:40 a.m. ready to learn. Students arriving after 7:40 a.m. will be marked tardy.
If a student is absent, a written note must be submitted directly to the office within 72 hours of the student’s return to school. Parents may also email the note to ginningsnotes@dentonisd.org. Please do not give notes to the teacher; they must come directly to the office. Texas Student Attendance Laws will determine if the absence is excused, verified, unexcused, or unverified.
Parents of students with excessive unverified absences and/or missed "parts of days" are in violation of the Texas Compulsory Attendance Law.

If you have any questions regarding attendance, contact Ms. Calvo, Ginnings Assistant Principal.
