Campus adjudication programs rank highest in state

The Joe Dale Sparks campus recently received the highest scores in the state for their pre-adjudication and post-adjudication programs, 99.77% and 100% respectively, and a 100 percent certification by the Texas Juvenile Justice Department audit.

The audit was conducted by a review of the daily program schedule, school calendar, educational curriculum and the method used by the school district to identify a student’s education and how best to serve them. The principal of the school is Anthony Sims.

The Denton Independent School District’s campus, which operates as part of the Denton County Juvenile Detention System, educates more than 1 who have become involved with legal or disciplinary issues. The school works with students to ensure opportunities to earn school credit and maintain a pace toward high school graduation.

The campus has also been named the top juvenile facility in Texas.
