Lacey Hailey Named Principal of Crownover Middle School
Lacey Hailey, principal of McNair Elementary School, has been named the principal of Crownover Middle School and will begin on Jan. 1. Mrs. Hailey replaces Charlene Parham, who was recently named Area Superintendent of Academic Programs for the Guyer Zone.
During the transition, McNair’s Assistant Principal, Mrs. Djenane Bolton, will act as the interim campus leader until a permanent replacement is named.
“Having the opportunity to join the Crownover staff and community with their longstanding examples of excellence is an honor,” said Mrs. Hailey. “I am looking forward to going back to my roots at the secondary level and working alongside our amazing staff to ensure our Cowboys receive the best educational experience.”
In 2005, Mrs. Hailey joined Denton ISD serving as a Spanish teacher, softball and volleyball coach at Ryan High School before moving to a neighboring district as an administrative intern in 2010. In 2012, she was named assistant principal at an elementary school in another nearby district, serving in that role for three years.
In 2015, Mrs. Hailey returned to Denton ISD, joining the Rivera Elementary staff as an assistant principal. She was named principal at McNair Elementary in 2016, a role that she’s held for the past six years.
“Mrs. Hailey is an exceptional leader who has a strong passion for student and staff success,” said Charlene Parham, Area Superintendent of Academic Programs for the Guyer Zone. “Her knowledge as an instructional leader and commitment to the Guyer community will make an immediate impact at Crownover Middle School.”
Mrs. Hailey earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Austin College and her master’s degree in educational administration from the University of North Texas. She and her husband, also a campus principal in Denton ISD, are raising one student in the district.
