The four Denton ISD students selected to the all-state choir are as follows:
As a result of the honor, the aforementioned students will perform with the state’s other top-ranked choral singers at the 2015 TMEA State Convention in San Antonio in February.

Four Denton ISD students named to TMEA all-state choir
Students from each of Denton ISD’s three high schools were recently named to the Texas Music Educators Association’s all-state choir, the top vocal honor in the state.
Denton High School: Courtney Lawson, sophomore, soprano 2 (third chair).
The Denton choir director is Mark Baker. He is assisted by Nick Vance.Guyer High School: Kate Gillman, sophomore, alto 2 (seventh chair); and Kylie Jensen, junior, alto 2 (sixth chair).
The Guyer choir director is Stephen Evans. He is assisted by Rebecca Ginez.Ryan High School: Julia Durbin, senior, soprano 2 (fifth chair).
The Ryan choir director is David Rives. He is assisted by Scott Thompson.
