Students’ artwork displayed at TASA/TASB conference
A trio of Denton Independent School District campuses had student artwork displayed in an art exhibit at the recent Texas Association of School Boards and School Administrators Conference in Dallas.
Bobbi Eckels and Kathleen Thiele, Newton Rayzor Elementary; Elijah Aguirre, Nayeli Soto and Frida Gomez, Ginnings Elementary; and Makenzie Lander, Jordan Jonas and Zaida Sadler, E.P. Rayzor Elementary, each had artwork representing Denton ISD at the Texas Art Educators Association Exhibit.
The students’ work was selected among several entries from school districts and private schools across the state and displayed in the exhibit hall at the Dallas Convention Center during the TASA/TASB Conference.
Kay Adamson is the art teacher at Ginnings Elementary, Kristin Williamson is the art teacher at Newton Rayzor Elementary and Kelley Quinn McGee is the art teacher at E.P. Rayzor Elementary.
The TAEA consistently provides avenues for children across the state to showcase their work and promotes the importance of promoting art education and students’ artwork within their communities.
For more information on the exhibit contact David McCullar, director of fine arts for Denton ISD, at (940) 369-0076.
