Braswell Zone Bash: Back-2-School Extravaganza 8/7

The Braswell Zone PTAs will host the ninth annual Braswell Zone Bash Back-2-School Extravaganza at 6 pm on Monday, Aug. 7 at Braswell High School, 26750 E. University in Little Elm.

The event is geared for students and families residing in the eastern portion of Denton ISD to get re-connected in a fun-filled atmosphere with school staff, administrators and local businesses before the first day of school.

This year’s Braswell Zone Bash will feature music, games and a variety of food options from several local restaurants. Various local businesses and departments within Denton ISD will also be on hand to give information on the services they provide and answer questions about district growth and programs.

Students and families will have the opportunity to visit with their school principals, including the district’s newest team members – Jairia Diggs at Providence Elementary and Renee Koontz at Rodriguez Middle School. Rodriguez Middle School, Denton ISD’s eighth middle school, is opening Aug. 16 to relieve overcrowding at Navo Middle.

All proceeds raised that evening go directly to the eastern Denton ISD Braswell Zone PTA’s including Bell, Cross Oaks, Providence, Paloma Creek, Savannah elementary schools as well as Braswell High School, Navo Middle and Rodriguez Middle – to help them with their general activity funds.
