2020-21 Student Parking Information

important

Wildcat Classes of 2021 & 2022:

Please read this entirely as there is a great deal of information.

At the appropriate time, please go to the following Google form, https://forms.gle/xnFiuisyBAsWTG16A,  and complete your parking permit request application. Parking permits are $30, which will be collected when the permit is picked up.

Seniors, Class of 2021, may begin submitting online requests for parking permits at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1st. Any online requests submitted and time-stamped prior to 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1st  will not be processed.

Juniors, Class of 2022,  may begin submitting online requests for parking permits at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2nd. Any online requests submitted by juniors and time-stamped prior to 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2nd  will not be processed.

Due to space limitations, ONLY Seniors and Juniors will be issued parking permits if they meet the eligibility requirements and there is available space.  Unfortunately, we do not have enough parking spaces to allow us to issue parking permits to all Senior and Junior students with a driver’s license at the beginning of the school year.  Space does open at the end of 1st semester in the F lot, the marching band’s practice space, and this allows us to issue permits to almost all Seniors and Juniors on the waiting list.

All students who successfully submit online applications will receive an email confirmation of their status regarding the approval of a permit or their status of being placed on the waiting list.

To be eligible for a Student Parking Permit you must meet the following requirements:

1. Student must be in 11th or 12th grade. Student Parking Permits will not be issued to 9th and 10th grade students at any time.

2. Student must have a valid Driver's License and current vehicle insurance at the time of application. Learner's Permits will not be accepted.

3. Student may not have seat time, financial, or textbook obligations.

Students who meet all requirements will be assigned a parking permit, based on availability.  This year, student parking permits will be stickers and must be affixed to the front passenger side window of the student’s vehicle.  The tags will be checked regularly for security purposes.  The tags are generic and do not specify a lot this year.  Students who meet all requirements and are not assigned a parking permit will be assigned a place on the waiting list.

Students will be able to pick up parking permits the week of September 8th. Students will be called down from class to pick up their parking permit during that week. Students must have correct change or a check made out to Guyer High School for 30 dollars. Students must have completed the registration process and have their 20-21 school schedule to pick-up a parking permit.  Please make sure your email address is correct when you complete registration and the parking application.

In Addition...

As mentioned in a previous email, the Google form for signing up for parking will open Tuesday, September 1st for Seniors and Wednesday, September 2nd for Juniors. While we traditionally require a copy of the student's driver's license in order for them to be eligible to receive a parking pass, we understand that due to COVID-19 closures, students who mailed in their testing information may be experiencing a delay in receiving their driver's license. If this is your current situation, please proceed in filling out the parking application, as well as this form, https://forms.gle/GB3dbLyJKsMRZwCY6.  This form will allow us to document when the student tested and verify that they are eligible to park on our campus.
