Student Assistance Counselor
About Me: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #60526) and have a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman's University. I have spent the past 17 years working with children and families to address mental health and emotional issues. I am happy to help with any concerns students or parents may have, or just be a listening ear during difficult times. I will be leading small groups on several different topics, ranging from self-esteem to anger management, and I will be teaching lessons on topics such as bullying, suicide prevention, substance abuse prevention, and healthy relationships.
My Family: My husband Bryan and I have been married for 19 years. Our two children are students at Hawk Elementary -Jack is a fifth grader, and Brooke is in fourth. Our family also has two dogs: Tiger and Dottie. I am Brooke's Girl Scout leader, and, as a family, we love to go flying, traveling, camping, and swimming.
I love being a part of HMS, and I look forward to working with the students and parents at our school this year.
