Student Assistance Counselor
About Me: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #60526) and have a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman's University. I have spent the past 18 years working with children and families to address mental health and emotional issues, and this will be my fourth year as the student assistance counselor here at Harpool. I am happy to help with any concerns students or parents may have, or just be a listening ear during difficult times. I will be leading small groups on several different topics, ranging from self-esteem to anger management, and I will be teaching lessons on topics such as bullying, suicide prevention, substance abuse prevention, and healthy relationships.
My Family: My husband Bryan and I have been married for 20 years. I have two Longhorns this year: my son Jack will be in 7th grade, and my daughter Brooke will be a 6th grader. Our family also has 3 dogs: Tiger, Dottie, & Bella. I am active in my church, love working out at F45, and, as a family, we love to go flying, traveling, and swimming.
I love being a part of Harpool, and I look forward to working with the students and parents at our school this year.
