  • Transportation Services:



     Students must be registered for transportation services each year.  Registration for transportation services is done through INFOSNAP. Transportation service information will be emailed to the parent/guardian email that was used during registration.  Transportation service information is also available.


    Denton ISD Guidelines for Eligible Student Riders

    A student is eligible for transportation route services if he or she resides two or more miles from his or her campus of regular attendance measured along the shortest route to school from the property line of the residence to the property line of the school. 



    All bus-riding students are to keep their bus pass (also known as a bus access card) until they are no longer students of Denton ISD. (The card's information is updated each school year, so there is no need to purchase a new one each year.) If a student's card has been lost, stolen, or damaged, a new one will need to be purchased before transportation services can resume. Do not punch a hole in the card if the connector is broken. This will damage the RFID chip inside.

    Click on the link at the bottom of this page to go to our web store and purchase a bus pass via the "Transportation" section of the store. All cards will be sent to the campuses for distribution. 

    If you receive an error message when purchasing your pass, this may mean the student is not currently registered for bus service. Please contact the Transportation Department at 940-369-0354


    Denton ISD Transportation is available for students who live 2 miles or more from their campus. The distance a student lives from their campus is determined by a computerized routing and mapping system as by which all eligibility measurements are made. This is accomplished by incorporating GIS street and parcel data provided by the county. Denton ISD measures from the closest property line of the student's residence to the property line of the campus using the shortest trafficable route. 

    Not eligible for transportation services? 

    Although we take measures to avoid inaccuracies, there are times that errors may occur. Below there are steps that parents/guardians can take if it is believed that an eligibility error exists.

    • A transportation employee will investigate the request and verify the distance determined by the mapping and routing system.
    • After the verification is complete, an email response will be sent with the computed distance from property line to property line.
    • If it is determined that the measurement is 2 miles or more, the appropriate change to the school boundary will be made and busing information will be provided.

    A Transportation staff member will review the form. Once a decision has been made, the parent will be contacted back through the email provided on the form.



    If you have a request to change your student's stop or bus please use the link to Route Change Request Form to notify us of your request. Please allow 24 to 48 hours to process the request.
