The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has recently released the realignment plan for 2024-2026, which involves grouping schools for sports and other activities.
Denton ISD swim teams competed in district championships to qualify for the regional meet. Top six performers in each event will advance. 5A and 6A Swimming & Diving Championships are set for February 8-10, 2024 in Mansfield (5A) and Lewisville (6A).

Braswell High School sophomore Macy won the Class 6A state title, becoming the first state champion in the school's history. She completed the 5,000-meter race in just 16:57 and was honored by the Denton ISD's Board of School Trustees on Nov. 14.
