The Denton Independent School District Board of Trustees will formally dedicate at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11 the district’s existing professional development center at 1212 Bolivar Street the Dr. Curtis Ramsey Professional Development Center.
The Board approved the 2019-20 School Calendar as previously presented. Under the district’s designation as a TEA District of Innovation, the calendar reflects changes that are intended to drive more effective learning and the desires of our local community.
Motorcycle enthusiasts and community volunteers are partnering with Denton ISD and other Denton County school districts with the seventh annual Coats for Kids Ride on Sunday, Nov. 25. This year the ride will include a drive through Texas Motor Speedway.

The Denton ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to call a $750.5 million bond election to be held on May 5, 2018. The bond addresses student enrollment growth, renovations to facilities, equity, infrastructure, security systems, career & technical education and extracurricular activities.
