Board Approves Academic Calendar for 2025-2026, Start of School Aug. 12
Denton ISD’s Board of School Trustees approved the calendar for the 2025-26 school year at their regular meeting on Dec. 10. The 2025-2026 School Year will begin Tuesday, Aug. 12, with the district’s annual Freshman First Day (Class of 2029 only) set for the day prior, on Monday, Aug. 11.
The 2025-2026 school year will come to an end on Friday, May 22, ensuring that students are out before the Memorial Day weekend. The district’s extended school breaks will include:
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24 – 28
Winter Break: Dec. 22 – Jan. 2
Spring Break: March 9 – 13
Student half days for the 2025-2026 school year will include:
Dec. 18 and Dec. 19 – the two days before Winter Break
May 21 and May 22 – the two days before the school year ends
