Denton ISD Transportation

  • Our Transportation Department is honored that you entrust us each day with the responsibility of getting your child to school safely and on time. We do not take this trust lightly. We aim to ensure that each student starts and ends their day with safe and efficient transportation.

    A student is eligible for transportation route services if he or she resides two or more miles from his or her campus with regular attendance measured along the shortest route to school from the property line of the residence to the property line of the school.

    Register for Denton ISD transportation services when you register your child with Denton ISD in PowerSchool. If you need to register your child for the bus after the school year has begun, you will need to contact the campus registrar to ask them to request bus services from your child's ESchool file.

Hours

  • All Denton ISD schools of the same level operate on the same schedule. Please note the following schedules are based on regular school hours; alternative scheduling may result in different starting or ending times.

    Early Childhood Education:
    Gonzalez School For Young Children
    Ann Windle School for Young Children 

    Pre-K/ECSE: 7:30 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.
    Deaf Ed./Head Start: 7:45 a.m. - 3:05 p.m.

    Elementary School: 7:40 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.

    Buses are scheduled to arrive at campuses by 7:20 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. with a departure time of 3:07 p.m.

    Middle School: 8:15 a.m. - 3:35 p.m.

    Buses are scheduled to arrive at campuses by 7:45 a.m. and 3:35 p.m. with a departure time of 3:42 p.m.

    High School: 8:50 a.m. - 4:10 p.m. 

    Buses are scheduled to arrive at campuses by 8:40 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. with a departure time of 4:20 p.m. 

Early Release Hours

  • Buses will be dropping students off approximately 3 hours earlier than their normal drop-off times on these days. 

    Reminder: Kinder and first graders must be met by an adult at their stop.

    Pre-K/ECSE 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

    Gonzalez
    Morning: 7:35 a.m. – 9:35 a.m.
    Afternoon: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

    Pre Kindergarten (a.m.): 7:40 a.m. - 9:40 a.m.

    Pre Kindergarten (p.m.): 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

    Elementary School: 7:40 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

    Middle School: 8:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

    High School: 8:50 a.m. - 1:05 p.m. 

    Davis School DAEP: 7:20 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
