Our Vision

Our team is dedicated to empowering Denton ISD educators and transforming classrooms through digital learning. We collaborate with teachers across the district to integrate digital tools and innovative strategies to engage students. 

What We Do

As a department, we strive to support the creative endeavors of our educators through digital learning tools, training, and support.  Ultimately, we help our teachers provide engaged learning that is personally challenging and inspiring for our students.  Some of the initiatives we support include:

• Blended and Online Learning
• Digital Citizenship and Literacy
• Library Services and Media Literacy

How We Do It

Technology Integration, Digital Learning Support, and Professional Development

Denton ISD teachers are supported by four Digital Learning Specialists and one Learning Management Systems Specialist who help teachers maximize the effective use of technology in various learning environments. Our department provides support in numerous ways, such as: 

• • Serving as instructional partners, co-teachers, troubleshooters, or thinking partners 
  • Developing district-wide, systematic, engaging learning opportunities 
  • Creating user-friendly digital resources, guides, and videos that are organized and accessible on the Digital Learning Hub
  • Partnering to implement digital tools
  • Observing and listening to understand teachers' instructional goals and ways in which digital tools can support them

The mission of Denton ISD Library Services is to empower school communities to be enthusiastic readers, critical thinkers, skillful researchers, technology innovators, problem solvers, and ethical users of digital information.
