Conroy Hines, Assistant Athletic Director
Conroy Hines serves the student-athletes as assistant athletics director for Denton ISD, a title he has held since 2019.
Mr. Hines is a 28-year coaching veteran. He spent 17 years as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Louisiana Tech University. During his tenure at Louisiana Tech, Mr. Hines served as offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, wide receivers coach, and tight end coach.
In 2010, Mr. Hines moved to Denton to coach wide receivers at the University of North Texas. He joined Denton ISD in 2011 as both a professional communications teacher and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach on staff at Ryan High School.During his eight seasons at the helm of the offense at Ryan High, the Raiders experienced tremendous success. The football team played in three state semi-final games and two state quarterfinal games. Under Hines' tutelage, Spencer Sanders was named the Texas High School Football Player of the Year and is poised to become an NFL draft pick upon the completion of the 2022-2023 season at Oklahoma State University.
Mr. Hines is married to his wife Krista, who is a senior lecturer in the math department at the University of North Texas. Together, they have three adult children and one grandchild. Two of their children are proud graduates of Denton ISD schools.
Dr. Chivonne Kiser, Assistant Athletic Director
Dr. Chivonne Kiser serves the student-athletes as assistant athletics director for Denton ISD, a title she has held since joining the district in 2019 from Katy ISD.
Dr. Kiser enjoyed a storied playing career in college as she was a four-year letter winner and team captain for the women’s volleyball team at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 2023, she was inducted into the Southern University Sports Hall of Fame.
She began her career in education in 2001 and served 12 years as a head volleyball coach and head girl’s track and field coach for her alma mater, Kempner High School in Fort Bend ISD. Dr. Kiser then moved to become the head volleyball coach and assistant campus athletic coordinator at Morton Ranch High School in Katy ISD.
Dr. Kiser holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Southern University, a Master of Science degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida and a Doctorate in General Education from Northcentral University. With her husband, Dr. Charles Kiser, also an educator working for Denton ISD, they have three children, two of whom attend Denton ISD and one who is a collegiate athlete.
