About Providence Elementary
Providence Elementary was built in 2004 as the first school in the rapidly-growing eastern portion of the district, along US Hwy 380. The school is named after Providence Village, a former master-planned community and newly incorporated town, in which it stands.
Located in one of the district’s fastest-growing areas, Providence boasts a burgeoning population of diverse students eager to learn and grow. The school’s staff matches that description, with a combination of veteran and young teachers that stress the academic basics while also incorporating new ideas and technology into the classroom.
Providence is known for matching its neighborhood areas in friendliness and commitment to community. Parent involvement, whether through PTA or volunteer activities, is common and local businesses are always willing to support school causes and serve on campus committees and teams.
Students at Providence have a number of opportunities to learn more than just the elementary basics with student council, art club, running club, choir and orchestra among the many activities available for students to join. The school’s mission statement is to “educate with enthusiasm and expect excellence” and everyone at Providence strives to accomplish that each day.
