Orchestras Earn 16 UIL Sweepstakes Awards
On February 28 and March 1, 2019, Denton ISD's high school and middle school orchestra programs performed their UIL Region 2 Concert and Sight-reading Assessments. DISD orchestras received a total of 35 First Division "Superior" ratings from UIL adjudicators and 16 of the orchestras received the UIL Sweepstakes Award for earning a First Divsion rating in both the Concert and Sight-reading performances. Congratulations to our students and orchestra directors for their outstanding performances!
