Every summer, the Texas Choral Directors Association meets for its annual convention in San Antonio and features a series of clinics and performances by the TCDA Elementary Honor Choir. The TCDA Elementary Honor Choir is the premiere state honor choir, consisting of students from around the state of Texas who audition to be selected to the group. The students have the privilege of learning from world-class conductors and performing together in a featured concert at the TCDA Convention.
Denton ISD is extremely proud to announce that Hannah Thomas, a 5th grader from Pecan Creek Elementary School, was selected to perform in the 2022 TCDA Elementary Honor Choir. Congratulations to Hannah for achieving this incredible honor and representing her school and Denton ISD in an outstanding way at the state level. And many thanks to her elementary music teacher, Dr. Victor Lozada.
