Denton High is an International Baccalaureate World School – one of only 50 IB high schools in Texas to offer this challenging academic curriculum. In other programs, students can explore a variety of interests through the school’s numerous extra-curricular activities in academics, fine arts and athletics.
Denton High School will host a screening of the documentary “When We Were All Broncos” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in the school auditorium. The film focuses on the integration of public schools in Denton.
On Saturday, March 29 DHS had 26 students competing in 13 academic events at the UIL District Meet. It was certainly a great Saturday of academic competition. Denton High School’s 2012-2013 yearbook, “The Bronco,” has been featured in the 2014 Jostens Look Book, which features yearbook spreads selected for having highly creative or innovative designs, storytelling and editing. It was selected with 426 other yearbooks out of about 3,000 for the honor.
Denton High School students and staff will honor longtime counselor Dottie McEuin with a dedication ceremony at noon Friday, March 28, on the school grounds. Mrs. McEuin worked as a counselor at Denton High for 12 years before her unexpected death in 2013.
