Braswell High School will host the annual Transition Night for 8th graders and their parents on Monday, February 4, 2019. Students and families will learn about academic programs and extracurricular activities available at Braswell. The event is from 6:30 to 8 PM. Welcome to BHS!

Four teams representing Denton ISD are set to compete at state in the Texas High School Bass Association tournament from May 18-20 on Lake Sam Rayburn. Recently, 11 teams representing Braswell, Denton and Guyer high schools competed at the regional tournament.
The Denton ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to call a $750.5 million bond election to be held on May 5, 2018. The bond addresses student enrollment growth, renovations to facilities, equity, infrastructure, security systems, career & technical education and extracurricular activities.
The 2018-2019 School Calendar features a start date for freshman (Class of 2022) across the district beginning class on Tuesday, Aug. 14 for Freshman First Day. The official first day of school for all students is Wednesday, Aug. 15.
Denton ISD in conjunction with North Texas Collegiate Consortium will be hosting an educational fair for District employees on Tuesday, February 26. Several institutions of higher learning will showcase graduate and undergraduate programs.
Denton ISD’s elementary schools will celebrate Read Across America from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, March 1. Volunteers are needed with a minimum donation of time commitment of 30 minutes.
