Welcome to Guyer High School: Home of State Champions

Guyer High School symbolizes the commitment the citizens of Denton ISD have toward providing a quality education for young people in the community. It offers a variety of academics from Advanced Placement classes for state-of-the-art science, math and technology programs.

There is a place and a special activity that fits the needs of each of its students as it provides numerous extra-curricular programs in academics, fine arts and athletics. The Guyer staff is committed to providing students with the skills they need to lead successful – and productive – lives.
 
At Guyer, our mission is to provide an exceptional academic program for all students that integrates the intellectual, social, cultural and physical aspects of learning in a positive environment.

  • AP Exam Payments Due 2/12 by 4:30 pm

    AP exam payments are due this Friday, February 12th by 4:30pm. Students can pay for exams outside the counseling office before/after school and during all lunches. Checks are payable to Guyer High School. Students and parents wishing to pay with a credit card must do so by logging into their Total Registration account.

  • 8th Grade Transition Meeting

    On Monday, February 8, 2016, Guyer High School will host its 8th Grade Transition Meeting for middle school students and parents from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Auditorium/Commons. Come see what high school is all about! Campus clubs and organizations will be present along with coaches and fine arts representatives to recruit students. Members of the counseling staff will also provide information to help ease some of the stress associated with the transition.

  • Wildcats set to compete in UIL District 6-6A

    Braswell, Denton and Ryan will compete in District 5-5A and Guyer will compete in District 6-6A for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years as part of the UIL's football and basketball realignment.

  • Intra-District Transfer Application Available: If your middle or high school student wishes to attend a campus that he or she is not zoned for, it is necessary to fill out the intra-district transfer form. The PDF file to apply for an intra-district transfer for the 2016-17 school year is located here.  More information regarding transfers can be found on the Student Support Services website.

  • Single Sign-On Portal: Need a better way to manage all your acount passwords? A Single Sign-On Portal is now available for Denton ISD students and staff members. This portal will allow students and staff to save their sign-in information for a variety of services and websites so they can use it to automatically sign into those services and websites in the future.

  • Registration Codes: Parents or guardians of returning Denton ISD students received snapcodes for InfoSnap online student registration over the summer. Following online registration, proof of residency and updated immunization records must be submitted to a student's campus. Click here for information on the registration process.

  • Braswell High School: Construction on Denton ISD's fourth comprehensive high school is currently underway in the eastern portion of the district. Dr. Ray Braswell High School will be located on the southeast corner of Navo Road and U.S. Highway 380 and is scheduled to open in time for the 2016-17 school year.
