Welcome to Guyer High School: Home of State Champions

Guyer High School symbolizes the commitment the citizens of Denton ISD have toward providing a quality education for young people in the community. It offers a variety of academics from Advanced Placement classes for state-of-the-art science, math and technology programs.

There is a place and a special activity that fits the needs of each of its students as it provides numerous extra-curricular programs in academics, fine arts and athletics. The GHS staff is committed to providing GHS students with the skills they need to lead successful – and productive – lives.

    GHS Summer Updates

    Summer hours are Monday - Thursday 8-4 (closed for lunch 12-1). The building is not open on Fridays during the summer. Building entrance will be through the attendance doors (left of the rotunda) during summer maintenance! We apologize for the inconvenience!

  • District announces 2015 valedictorians, salutatorians

    Denton Independent School District officials from Denton, Guyer and Ryan high schools have announced the top graduates for the Class of 2015. These 32 students will be recognized along with their classmates during commencement exercises.

  • Important information for new drivers

    THE STATE OF TEXAS REQUIRES; A Verification of Enrollment (VOE) IN ORDER TO TAKE A DRIVING TEST AND for EACH renewal of a student's drivers' license until the age of 18. Students must come into the office to sign the form and bring their Student ID to pick it up. It takes 24-72 hours to get the form completed.

  • Braswell High School: Construction on Denton ISD's fourth comprehensive high school is currently underway in the eastern portion of the district. Dr. Ray Braswell High School will be located on the southeast corner of Navo Road and U.S. Highway 380 and is scheduled to open in time for the 2016-17 school year.

  • Register for Lone Star TIA: Registration for Denton ISD's annual Lone Star TIA technology conference is now available. The conference will take place July 21 and 22 at Ryan High School and is free to attend for Denton ISD staff members.
