At Harpool Middle School, each student is encouraged to succeed. It provides a place where adolescents can start developing lifelong learning skills for today’s and tomorrow’s world. It’s a facility where students continue to build their own traditions and legacies.
Harpool Middle School is designed with three two-story wings – one for each grade level. Each wing includes three science labs and has public and district WiFi services. Just as its namesake, Tom Harpool, was involved in the community, Harpool students have many links to the community through Adopt-A-School partnerships, PTA, school volunteers and more.
Harpool Middle School Open House will begin with a PTA meeting starting at 6:00pm. There will be an overview of the new DISD grading policy as well. Meet the Teacher will follow from 6:30-8:15. Please make plans to attend. Click here for complete schedule and additional information.
Auditions for Harpool Middle School's Talent Show and Dinner Theatre will take place after school Thursday, Sept. 4. Those interested must sign up by Wednesday, Sept. 3.
All HMS students need to watch the video and complete the Acceptable Use Policy Acknowledgement Form in order to use technology in the district. This form may be completed from home. If a student does not have the form completed their account may be locked until they do so.
This document was created by the Academic Leadership Team (ALT) and District personnel as a guideline to aid in understanding the new policy. HMS will implement all grading policies this school year with standards referenced grades and assessments being phased in through the year. Full implementation is expected in 2015.
