Welcome to Crownover Middle School

Established in 2002, Crownover Middle School is known for its professional and friendly learning environment, along with its broad range of academic courses. Crownover offers a wide range of classes, from gifted and accelerated classes to strong arts, technical and athletic programs.

Crownover’s motto, “our students, our future,” ties into the school’s philosophy of engaging the students, families and staff in the overall educational process. Crownover was the first Denton ISD school built in Corinth and sponsors many joint community projects.

  • Inclement weather makeup days set for April 3 and 6

    As a result of two inclement weather days that resulted in the cancellation of classes in February, Denton Independent School District will have school on April 3 and 6. Both days were scheduled as inclement weather makeup days when the 2014-15 district calendar was approved prior to the start of the school year.

  • Penny Wars (March 23 – April 3)

    RCMS National Junior Honor Society needs your help in supporting the Ronald McDonald House. Students place pennies in the jar of the teacher they want to get pied in the face, and paper money & silver coins into the jars of the other teachers. Pennies count positively, silver coins & paper money count against a teacher.

  • 8th Grade Scoliosis Screening

    All 8th grade students will participate in a state mandated scoliosis screening on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:15 PM. The screenings will be done by DISD School Nurses. The screenings will take place in the RCMS girls & boys gym locker rooms.

  • 2014-2015 RCMS Teacher of the Year

    Congratulations to Mrs. Amy Miller, our new 2014-2015 RCMS Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Miller will have a chance to compete for secondary Teacher of the Year for the district and possibly statewide. The students, teachers, staff, and administration are so proud of our Teacher of the Year & nominees.

  • Six Denton ISD campuses repeat as CREST Award recipients

    Denton Independent School District recently had six campuses named as recipients of the CREST Award, which annually recognizes the top counseling staffs in the state, by the Texas School Counselor Association.

  • Braswell High School: Construction on Denton ISD's fourth comprehensive high school is currently underway in the eastern portion of the district. Dr. Ray Braswell High School will be located on the southeast corner of Navo Road and U.S. Highway 380 and is scheduled to open in time for the 2016-17 school year.
