• Consultation and Referral

Parenting has never been easy. Today it is perhaps more difficult than ever. Counselors stand ready to offer parents whatever help and support they can.
    In particular, counselors might:

counsult with parents about students' academic, social, and/or career development

interpret test scores for parents and help plan students' futures

help parents address concerns with students' teachers or school administrators

help parents talk to students about difficult issues

be able to refer students and/or families for outside counseling

be able to help parents deal with family abuse and violence

be able to help parents get medical, dental, and/or vision care when needed

be able to help parents get emergency food, clothing, and/or shelter when needed

be able to help parents get legal assistance when needed
