    • Houston Elementary has been a longstanding educational hub for residents in south Denton. Much like its namesake, Houston Elementary has earned a strong reputation among the Denton community for its development of educated students and engaged citizens. The school’s climate is known for being caring and friendly, while still challenging students to reach their potential in the classroom.

      With a commitment to develop life-long learners and a track record of producing them, Houston students continue to receive top-notch academic instruction from caring teachers and staff and countless opportunities to grow socially and emotionally through engagement with families and local community partners.

    • Vaping Information:

      Students in possession of, using or distributing vapes, e-cigarettes or diffuser sticks/aromatherapy pens on or within 300 feet of a school campus will be removed from class and placed in the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP).

      Students who require the use of respiratory inhalers or other related medical devices must comply with the rules and regulations outlined in the 2023-2024 Denton ISD Student and Parent Handbook, which requires written authorization from a physician or other licensed healthcare provider, in collaboration with the school nurse.

      Need a better way to manage all your account passwords? Our Single Sign-On Portal is available for Denton ISD students and staff members. This portal allows students and staff to save their sign-in information for a variety of services and websites to automatically sign into those services and websites in the future.

      Click here to check your STAAR scores. You will be redirected to the Texas Assessment website. Click on the "Log in to Student Portal" button and enter your access code.
